About Us:

Wendy Wilson

Wendy Wilson knitwear

My family originates from the Scottish Borders, and there has always been a strong connection to the wool industry. I live and work in Ardnamurchan and Morvern on the west coast of Scotland. I have always enjoyed knitting, which developed into my own Scottish knitwear business in 1987, formerly trading under the name of Claggan Crafts, which started with a range of wildlife designs, mainly inspired by the natural wildlife of this area

Justine Dunn

Justine Dunn Ardnamushrooms and hat maker

My family and I moved here 10 years ago from Grenada in the Caribbean. As is normal in West Scotland, we do a combination of jobs, but I really love making things too. I especially like to use scraps/recycled materials, and my brooches and Christmas decorations are a result of my doodling.

Nicola McFarlane

Nicola MacFarlane - Notecards of Ardnamurchan based on paintings by Peter McFarlane

As a young child growing up in Aberdeenshire, I was always struck by the splendour of the Scottish Highlands. I set up Happy Highlanders to produce cards which are based on original paintings by my husband Peter. Glasgow born Peter is self-taught and has been living and working in the Highlands of Scotland for nearly thirty years. During his time in this area, the wonderful scenery and the unique lighting that characterises this beautiful part of the world have inspired him, and I now want to share his work with you.

Anne Thompson

Anne Thompson kitted characters, cushions and hats

My family have moved around the west coast a bit and it has always felt like home to us. I learnt to knit many years ago but its only since I've raised my family and I now have more time on my hands that I've picked up my needles again. I have mainly been knitting soft toys , cushions and hats, but as long as I have a pattern, needles and some wool I'm willing to knit anything.

Carol Kane

Carol Kane Bracelets made on the Isle of Arran using genuine gemstones coupled with tibetan silver

My family and I, following a life long dream, left the rat race and moved to Isle of Arran in 2012 and have been delighted with the oasis we find ourselves in. I have always enjoyed making my own things and it seemed like the most natural step for me to take when we moved. I have found my inspiration for my bracelets from the ever-changing environment and vibrant colours I see every day.

Lynn Waddell

Indigo Ewe is based in Acharacle. I make felt jewellery and needlefelted animals

I am based in Acharacle. I make felt jewellery and needlefelted animals under the name of Indigo Ewe and handmade soaps under the name of Little Fish. I love travelling, Eastern European cultures have influenced the designs in my felting though the epic land and seascapes of the West Highlands will always be an inspiration. I am a vegetarian, tea drinking artist who loves bears, dogs, mountains, the natural world, stormy weather, antiques, walks on the beach, and living a handmade compassionate life.

We hope you like the small selection of Scottish crafts and knitwear we have so far, but donít forget to keep checking us out as we will be adding products to the website over the coming months.
